Gender Equity and Reconciliation Australia (GERA) - Upcoming Events

Gender Equity and Reconciliation Australia (GERA) is an innovative forum that brings women and men together to jointly address gender conditioning and gender injustice in order to move toward mutual reverence and honor for one another.

GERA Workshops create safe spaces for women and men separately and jointly, to engage in experiential, interactive exercises and dialogues to address issues rarely discussed aloud. The process frequently leads to breakthroughs in mutual understanding, forgiveness and reconciliation.

ALL women and men are welcome
Whatever your faith, ethnic and cultural background, sexual orientation;
Whether single or part of a couple,
Everyone has a gender history

This work will invite you to share parts of your own gender story, listen to and appreciate others gender histories and confront you with the pervasive impact gender disharmony has in contributing to levels of violence, abuse, pornography, and mental distress in our country and in our immediate gathering. Gender Equity and Reconciliation Australia (GERA) workshops assist us in unpacking our often unspoken, unconscious attitudes, fears and reactions around gender, understanding their source and power in our lives, and moving through the pain to a place of profound healing and trust.

It has the potential to heal your relational wounds, bring you into a deeper more accepting connection with yourself, introduce you to beloved community and transform your humanity.

For participants who feel inspired to facilitate this work, and who have completed the prerequisite Workshop, Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI) offers a Professional Facilitator Training. This training is appropriate for mature professionals of all ages, sexual orientations, faith traditions, race, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. Mental health professionals and clergy are encouraged to apply. Candidates for the Professional Facilitator Training must submit a formal application.
